The first private university in Bukhara

Bukhara International University is the first private university in the city of Bukhara. Since its founding, the university has been advancing modern international education.

The university was established according to the instructions of President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev during his visit to Bukhara region on January 21-22, 2021, and in accordance with item 98 of protocol No. 4 at the extraordinary session of the regional council of people's deputies.

Currently, our university has 3 campuses, a general educational building with a capacity of 6000 students, and a dormitory for 420 students. We offer 16 bachelor's programs, 8 master's programs, and 6 doctoral programs in Psychology, Philology, and Pedagogy.

Since 2021, based on the agreement with the Center for the Development of Digital Educational Technologies, student reports have been managed on the 'HEMIS' platform. To date, diplomas have been awarded to students who have completed the master's degree three times.

In just 4 years, our university has achieved high results: the number of students has increased, the number of educational buildings has grown, the quality of education meets international standards, the scientific potential has reached 69%, the number of educational fields has grown to 24, the university has received a license to offer postgraduate education, a scientific council in psychology has been established, and international scientific journal authorship has been attained. Based on the relevant license from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, starting from March 28, 2025, the university was renamed BUKHARA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY.
